Constructed by a team of three talented artisans; a carpenter, ironworkers and a lacquer worker using kiri (paulownia wood) favoured for its natural moisture regulating and insect repelling properties. The chest is heavily adorned with hand forged iron fittings, practically focussing on the central bo (locking bar) which features the ivy family crest,
