7" Radiant Bear by Louie Uttaq paintings Etching & Aquatint 2011Inuit art: Bear Inuit Artist: Louie Uttaq Size: 7" high, 7" wide, 2" deep Community: Gjoa Haven, NU Material: Stone medium id: c 007 Louie Uttaq has chosen an exquisite orange pekoe coloured stone for his charming standing bear. The bear is standing with arms and legs spread wide apart, inviting all aggressors to step up to the plate. I love the bear spirit. It is courageous and awesome but at the same time comforting and warm. A beautiful departure
