It has been dyed a beautiful indigo colour and have a Katazome stencil dyed, wave chidori pattern throughout. Originally, it would have been used for the entrance to a building to add privacy but also allow air flow. This specific curtain has a Japanese family crest known as Kamon. These crests are deeply personal symbols, representing the lineage and heritage of a family.
