The titanium coating increases the surface hardness of the shock damper shaft. It prevents scratches of the damper shaft caused by sand and dust, thereby maintaining smooth movement of the damper all the time. A long lasting and scratch free damper shaft will also prolong the life of the O rings used in the damper body
