Oprindeligt blev Margueriten fremstillet i bl, gul, rd, hvid og grn. Da brochen blev tegnet i 1940, blev den hvide model hurtigt den mest populre. Det er den eneste farve ud af de fem, som stadig produceres i dag. Efter 2. verdenskrig blev brochen et symbol for nsket om bedre tider.
