The ball shape was first designed for the "Triennale" in Milan in 1957 and later produced in this round shape and a version with a slightly raised neck

A pair of rare egg cups from German KPM stamped with the Iron Cross. KPM stands for Knigliche Porzellan Manufaktur. KPM was founded in 1751 by Wilhelm Caspar Wegely and in 1763 was taken over by Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, giving it its royal name, a name the factory retained until 1918 when the German monarchy was abolished
