None of the wood from this wreck would float - so I imagine it sat for years at the bottom of the lagoon before a storm swept it up on the beach

I was wandering through the very old part of Porto where all the houses have only one floor - and took a few pictures

Valletta, Merchant Street - Malta K-04 65 x 14 x 169 x 40 x 6 cm This is a very special piece! I found the wood wedged between some rocks in Ponza a quiet little Island off the Italian coast. It clearly came from a small shipwrecked fishing boat as the ribs of the boat are still attached and I left them as I found it. This type of wood is my favorite as it has many old layers of original paint which I blend into the original building look. The effect is captivating! SKU: 152 K 04
