To me it was a step or small platform on an old wood boat

It was part of a very old fishing boat that had been washed up and was half buried in the sand

Here all the houses are various sizes but all only a single floor. The horizontal landscape perspective is also very nice for architecture and in some instances is a better fit when displayed on a wall or shelf. This wood was found in Crete and has 2 original paint colors blue and white and makes for a very authentic look and feel. Wood Found: Greece
