Known primarily as a sculptor, Mary Frank has also been a prolific painter, draftsman and print maker. Aligned with her practice as sculptor are the brush and ink drawings she has made, many of the female figure, some with a simultaneous monumentality and intimacy; their mottled stone like textures evoking notions of ancient runes and landscape.
