and the nose is expressive with notes of fresh citrus zest complemented by stone fruit and hints of oak

Dense fruit aromas of blackcurrant

which are rounded off with smooth well-integrated tannins

This wine has a bright crimson color with delicate earthy aromas and red and dark berry flavors

This blend conveniently fell within the legal framework for a wine labelled as a single varietal wine all wine may be blended up to a maximum of 15%. Ken Forrester set about doing some exploration using 4 of the traditional Bordeaux grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The result? The new Pats Garden
