Patterson, Amer., (1867-1950) Watercolor Werner Drewes was a prolificColor Woodcut, 1921, Ed. 100, but fewer printed, 10 1 2 x 7 1 4, a particularly bright, luminous impression; with hand painted additions to the green stalks and leaves by the artist, unsigned, on thick fibrous cream japan, and trimmed to the subject by the artist, as was common. This was purchased back in 1986 or 87 from Steven Thomas's first big Margaret Patterson list. I was so excited I drove all the way to Vermont to view the collection and took
