日本全国で10人もいないおりん職人が、百余りある金鎚や金床・当て金を用途応じて使い分けながら、真鍮板を手作業によって叩き、焼いて柔らかくし、という作業を数十回繰り返し行って形作られる。さらに叩いて、音を聞き、調音する。
伝統の技術とデザインをアレンジした小ぶりのグラス。グラス全体を着物に見立て、真ん中には帯のように擦りガラスが入っている。交差が連続する文様は「菊繋ぎ」と呼ばれるもので、不老不死、無病息災、邪気払いの意味を持つ。
