House of Elrick Gin Montessu Intense fruit and floral noseHaving turned down an offer from Peter Jones in the Dragons Den, Aberdeenshire based Stuart Ingram has since begun crowdfunding his distillery and restaurant venture on the Elrick House estate. Classic juniper and coriander dominate the nose but the palate reveals nicely interwoven heather, sweet fennel, pink peppercorns and rose petals. All of the water used in this artisan gin is sourced from Loch Ness I'd imagine wee Nessie is fond of a drop!
