Five shades of crimson are brushed on for an effect that looks as though a filtered light is dappling a moving surface. The piece is built from the bottom up coil by coil. The outside of the piece is rippled, the effect of my thumb joining each coil to the one beneath it. On the inside of the pot, you can see the demarcation lines between each coil as the piece was
